Martin Cooper is an Australian entertainment lawyer who has practised for over 40 years and has worked on many of Australia’s best known films such as GALLIPOLI (1981) and THE ADVENTURES OF PRISCILLA, QUEEN OF THE DESERT (1994), many animated films such as BLINKY BILL (1992), and hundreds of documentaries and TV programs such as SHOUT – THE JOHNNY O’KEEFE STORY (1985).
He has worked closely with major production companies such as Beyond International, Yoram Gross Films and Wildheart Films. Additionally Cooper has had extensive experience in the games marketplace and worked on the major PS3 video game L.A. NOIRE.
Cooper has been a Senior Executive at the TEN Network and the News Corporation working closely with Rupert Murdoch to implement his plans to evolve TV and film in Australia. Cooper was also the CEO of the Australian Multimedia Enterprise – a $40 million new media Australian Government investment fund.
In addition, Cooper has been the Director of a number of companies in the Beyond International Group, numerous publicly listed companies and has owned and operated a television station in Western Australia.
Most recently Cooper produced the critically acclaimed ALEX & EVE, with fellow The Yard Producer Murray Fahey, which enjoyed three sold out sessions at the Santa Barbara International Film Festival and is screening at Cannes Cinephiles 2016.
Cooper owns his own practice and was a Lecturer in Film Business at the Australian Film, Television & Radio School.
