Murray Fahey is a multi-award winning producer, director and writer known for feature films ENCOUNTERS (1993), GET AWAY GET AWAY (1993), SEX IS A FOUR LETTER WORD (1995), CUBBYHOUSE (2001), the documentary GNOMEBROOK (2014), and the Australian cult classic DAGS (1998) which was developed into a sitcom by Network Ten and Fox Television.
Most recently he produced the critically acclaimed ALEX & EVE with The Yard’s Executive Producer, Martin Cooper and Director Peter Andrikidis. Alex & Eve was the 10th most successful Australian Film at the Australian Box Office in 2015. It has also enjoyed sold out screenings at the Santa Barbara film festival and is screening at Cannes Cinephiles 2016. In July 2016 Fahey’s latest film, the improvised comedy LoveStuck, will premiere on Australian screens.
Fahey is a graduate of the Australian Film Television and Radio School and has produced over 60 hours of television programming, 10 feature films, numerous shorts, documentaries and music clips.
Fahey’s work has screened at more than 100 international and Australian film festivals and he has won awards at Bangkok Comedy Festival, International Animation Festival in Portugal, Tropfest, LA, New York, Chicago, Brussels Mystery and Suspense Festival and London Film Festival.
Fahey is a Partner of Perkins Fahey Lawyers and specialises in Business, Media and Entertainment Law. He holds a Master of Laws in Media, Communication and Information Technology Law and has represented writers, entertainers, producers, directors, musicians, media companies and multinational corporations.
